Guest guest
maharaj, How long has your ds been in speech? It takes a while to see results. Also make sure your speech therapist is using techniques for apraxia. It is different than other speech problems. Our first therapist didn't know what she was doing. A big hint was she didn't know you could have apraxia without oral apraxia. I knew more than her within a few months just from the internet sites and boards like this one. The current speech therapist used a lot of movements along with beginning sounds and that worked amazingly well. I also had therapist give us excercises to work on at home between sessions. With my ds it was real slow going for a long time and then he just took off. I am sure it will be the same for your ds. Best of luck.
