Guest guest
Hi I have a 7 year old with apraxia who is very verbal but until 6 months ago was unintelligible. He has finished his first bottle of ProEFA. Reading has been a big problem. I started using The Sound Reading Solutions computer program and the difference is amazing. I don't know if it's the program or the EFA so I'm continuing with both. Check out there web site www.soundreading.com. JoAnne NJ Subject: Reading and Language Hi All I have a non-verbal 7 y/o son, Zack. Since starting EFA supplementation last November he is *really* taking off. Showing all sorts of new skills, particularly reading. Our SLT mention a programme called 'Language through Reading' (I think). His teacher has mentioned writing with symbols. Anybody got any experience of either of these? Or how I can progress the reading/writing? He has only recently started making marks on paper with a pencil, can use a mouse, is being assessed for an AAC device. Some sort of computer 'game' I can play with him at home would be a big motivator.
