Guest guest
Janet, I don't really get site reactions but I do get bruises from the injections. I'm not sure what you mean by site reactions. Please read the insert with your medication...it will tell you all about site reactions. Any concerns you really should contact your doctor or at least call the nurse and tell her what is going on. I am starting my 4th month of it and since month 2 have been getting them. Is there anything you can do for them? Don't see my doc for awhile. Guest guest
Hi Janet, I'm no longer on Enbrel, but did get injection site reactions off and on while I was on it. Mostly they were red blotches around the site, and didn't really itch or bother me that much. Between those and the lovely bruises I gave myself I didn't wear shorts very often! I'm now on Kineret, and after about 3 weeks got horrible injection site reactions - every place where I had injected (and this is a daily med) turned dark red / purple, raised up and itched horribly! The doc said to take Benedryl and use Benedryl cream on them. The swelling went down pretty fast, and after a couple of weeks the itching stopped as well. I suggest that you call your doctor and describe exactly what type of reactions you're getting. It's a pretty common side effect and they'll give you suggestions of the best thing to do depending on the severity of your reaciton. Good luck!
