Hi,

has had a series of bloods done, and we do not get to discuss

the results with his Paediatric Nuerolgist until the end of April.

All tests were fine, Liver Function, Kidney Function, Thyroid, Full

blood count fine, Urine, etc OK, but his Ammonia level was 92 mmls,

which we are told is slightly high. Can anyone explain what the

relevance of this in the blood is? His last test was 62, and I

understand the average is 40 odd. He still doesn't have a full dx

yet, MRI and Lumbar Puncture normal. He is cognitively delayed,

speech and language delayed, has hypotonia and gets exhausted very

quickly. I would be grateful if anyone could explain the relevance

of ammonia in the blood and what it means if the result is as

's. Just might put my mind at rest for a while until the end

of April!!!

Thanks in advance

Sharon. aka Skippy
