Hi ,

...about the hand preference....I have identical twins boys that are apraxic

and will be 4 at the end of this month....Logan has always used his left hand

and Brendon is right...then around October last year decided to try his left

and I swear it is because of his brother....his pre-school hand. teacher felt

he needed to make a " decision " so she decided to try and make him stick to

his right hand and I did always feel that was the one he wanted.....now I see

him coloring and writing with his left and eating and throwing with his

right....I teach Kindergarten and this year have a girl who is left handed in

my classroom and when gets home is righty....her mother and I had no idea

until the first parent/teacher conference and I said something about being

lefty and she said " no, she uses her right hand " .. After 17 years teaching I

had never run into something like that!!!!!! The psychologist at my school

said that it was still ok because she was doing fine academically and that

probably with maturity she would stick to one hand..but some kids do do some

things with one and some things with another.....and about the nice language

....I have written before that my one twin says sht...and the " i " sound isn't

really present but you know what he is saying and now the other one called me

a " too-pee a (short a sound)-hoe mommy " = stupid asshole mommy..(I hope I

didn't offend anyone)....I really love to hear the new words even when they

are bad and do correct them...but deep down am happy......about the pro-efa

dosage...I would be hesitant about jumping to 3 but I am only a mother with

no scientific knowledge so I am sure others will jump in with that

question......Kathy NJ
