Guest guest
hello, i'm new to this but if you can help me please do so. my 3yr old can only talk a few words and i took notice to that most of her words sound the same. she can not say sentences and when se is talking she will only say a couple words in a row then she will mumble the rest. like if she is watching cartoons and she starts singing the theme songs she will no the melody but will hum it instead of saying the words. some noises are really loud for her so i know she can hear good. she has been tested for her hearing alot of times and passed it and she understands everything you tell her but she will just not talk. the most she will say is like mom, mem, dad, pap. if anyone else has a child like this and can help me out with her to get her to talk please email me. Guest guest
You should probably take her in to be evaluated by a speech therapist. Call you pediatrician and have him/her talk about it with you. It isn't normal for a 3 year old not to be talking and she may just need some help! Good luck! Guest guest
hello...have your ped. refer you for a speech/language evaluation at a local hospital or better yet a specialized children's hospital if you are close to one...also call your school district for evaluations and they can start services once it's determined your daughter needs help...good luck...jo (nj) --- lzurat <lzurat@...> wrote: > hello, i'm new to this but if you can help me please > do so. my 3yr > old can only talk a few words and i took notice to > that most of her > words sound the same. she can not say sentences and > when se is > talking she will only say a couple words in a row > then she will > mumble the rest. like if she is watching cartoons > and she starts > singing the theme songs she will no the melody but > will hum it > instead of saying the words. some noises are really > loud for her so i > know she can hear good. she has been tested for her > hearing alot of > times and passed it and she understands everything > you tell her but > she will just not talk. the most she will say is > like mom, mem, dad, > pap. if anyone else has a child like this and can > help me out with > her to get her to talk please email me. > > > __________________________________________________
