Guest guest
Marina, So your son was already making approximations, etc. before the Proefa? This is day 3 for Wiley but he seems a bit like Tanner's story - though he's always been a big smiler and no fevers, etc. But, like Tanner before the proefa, Wiley can do " mmm " and " oooo " and so on but just cannot connect the two. The best he's done is a " bo " a " do " and one time a " pooh " All end sounds are absent too. I'm not seeing any changes yet, but it's only been 2 days of course. Yeeks. It's even more stressful when you suddenly get hopeful. So happy you are seeing such improvements!!! Guest guest
Betsy - We're very lucky in that he was doing much more than approximations - He's been speaking in full sentences for a little over a year and is now largely intelligible to close friends and family. Our SLP never rated his apraxia, but I read other situations and know exactly how lucky we are. Good luck!! I'd be interested in hearing how Wiley does!
