Role of Shadow

We are requesting a 1:1 classroom aide/shadow for my son from our school

district.

I need some input in terms of justifying the need for & clarifying the role

of the aide. Also, some input on how the aide is to be trained and what

qualifications the aide should have.

Aidan has now been diagnosed with " signs of ADD " in addition to the cluster

of problems from central hypotonia - speech/language (including auditory

processing),

o/t, p/t etc.

My feeling is that regardless of the class size, the aide is essential to

having a good classroom experience for him- we are looking to place him in a

transitional K.
