MAJOR HELP - PLEASE!

Hi

How is everyone I need a month to catch up on all the posts. Let me

start with the good news. My new job at Crippled Children's Society

is great. Secondly all my ranting and raving for paid off now

instead of half an hour a day help at school he has help from 9:30

am - 12:30 pm but not all this is speech his main problem. He has

the therapist visit once a week and she does not always class remove

him. My help now - ready - I want a private speech therapist but I

know that the Special Education Service withdraw their service but

they aren't supposed to so I will fight this if it happens anyway his

therapist is using signing great right but now I get the impression

that she wants it as his main communication because I have to face it

that he want talk in a hurry. Like I don't know that he just turned

seven last week - 29 April and is just starting to use three word

sentences like " BIG UGLY COW " because I wouldn't buy him a book so he

yelled this at me in the shopping mall I laughed and said " good

talking but don't call me a big ugly cow Smauel " the onlookers must

have thought I was mad! Anyway all I have to do with at home

is mouth and tongue exercises blwing bubbles ping pong balls etc no

verbal drills which I want and will work on but no one gives them to

me. I ask but never get them I yell but to no avail. Help be can go

bbb, ppp, sss mmmm, but has problems with adding vowels on and

particularly double vowels like " Boot " Beep " boat " " bee " " boo " you

know the rest right? So I don't know what to do all the speech

therapists that I have rung in my area have all said so long as

Special Education are happy with it they will work with him. What am

I to do? I will pay for him to have monthly therapy as his

developmental dyspraxia is not too bad he is about 12 to 24 months

behind ut gets no physio although he is meant to and not a lot of OT

so if I pay monthly he will get one to one OT and Physio for one hour

better than he is getting now. And I have no idea the amount speech

therapists charge but right now I don't care, I was told once if he

hadn't caught up by 7 years he never would. Please someone tell me

this is not true. I have read Khalid's story and am so inspired by

it and my mum had a vision four yers ago when she was on holiday she

was in San Francisco and she was awake at 2:00 am in the morning and

saw a light she looked and saw only light then it spoke " samuel will

talk " then it disappeared. So I have no doubt he will talk but I

need to help him and if no one tells me how how can I practice the

drills. And one more thing this is WEIRD I was at a friends house

and looked out at the wonderful view and said " woo mum

dos " " look mum ghost " " where? " I asked " woo " " look " he started

pointing out the window " u u up " and was pointing his finger upwards

towards watching intently has anyone else experienced anything like

this someone said he might be very spiritual. We had a baby

kidnapped over here a few weeks ago and a woman murdered on the same

day 1 km apart. Close to where we live was obsessed with it

he looked for pictures in the paper everyday listened to the news and

was so intent on the " bad man " the police caught both and saved the

baby so he was pleased but he hates bad people being about don't

blame him the plane that crashed in Italy afew weeks ago he heard it

turned around and said " o no mo ba ma den " " oh no more bad man

again " he went back to Sept. 11 and we had to explain it was an

accident any one have this with their kids or is mine just like this.

Sorry took so long. Please write someone I need to drill my son and

teach him cos no one else is and I don't know what else to do.
