Guest guest
Hi all, I don't post often...kids are healthy and very busy, which is a wonderful thing. I do try to keep up with the posts, although I do fall behind at times. I do have a question though. I just found out that after 5 years, I can no longer receive Polygam and they will be switching him to Gammagard. For those of you that have had to switch brands, did you have any problems? We started on Polygam 5 years ago and have never had anything else. We do receive our infusions at home, so they did schedule the next infusion at the hospital as a precaution. Thanks for any input... Kim (Mom to 10 - CVID)
Guest guest
We never switched brands while doing IVIG. We were on Polygam S/D the entire time and J still had a bad reaction one time. When we switched from IVIG to SCIG, we switched to Gammaguard liquid for the SCIG and had no problems...but I understand that SCIG is different! I would definitely go to the hospital if switching brands for IVIG!!!! Please let us know how it goes. I'll be thinking of you! Peace Be With You, Pattie Don't let your past dictate who you are now, but let it be a part of who you will become.
Guest guest
We use both polygam and Gammagard and found does much better on Gammagard. Polygam is a form of Gamamgard. I don't think you would have problems at least we haven't. Lorri * 16 CIVD Change in brand Hi all, I don't post often...kids are healthy and very busy, which is a wonderful thing.
