Guest guest
Dear Alison, Dyspraxia is " some speech ability " and Apraxia is " absence of speech " although some people use them interchangably my son was diagnosed by 2 slp's one in july of " 01 " and the other in sept. " 01 " they both said oral apraxia. When the first slp saw him he had a few sounds but when the second one saw him she also said apraxia he had 10 words, then after pro-efa and he started talking his slp form EI, said it is not apraxia but dyspraxia. THe point was he has a motor planning problem no matter how you say it. Hope this answers your question Eileen --- galison2002 <motley5@...> wrote: > --hello- > > Could you tell me what the difference is between > Dyspraxia and > apraxia? > > Thanks so much. > Alison Motley
