Guest guest
My daughter (who is 4 and not yet tested for PID) had a sinus infection a few weeks ago. She was put on medication for 10 days. She went back to the doctor and the sinus infection was gone but she had an ear infection. No medication was gave. Two days later, she was back in the doctors for a cough. X-rays were done and it was a combo of pneumonia and asthma. She was put on the Z-pac. She has went for several more follow-ups because she is wheezing and coughing. She is back on antibiotics for another 10 days with another doctors appointment on Tuesday. The other day, her nose was lightly bleeding. It was mild and we just noticed it because she was getting a snotty nose. We figured she had a dry nose. After all, she is on her third round of antibiotics in the last month. Today she woke up with her face a bit swelled. Her nose is snotty and it's greenish yellow. Her eyes are also starting to get crusties. This is her typical sinus infection traits. She is on Omnicef twice a day. This is what she was on when she first got sick with the sinus infection. She fell asleep at 4:30 and I'm sure she is out for the night. She has a doctors appointment on Tuesday but I will try to get her in on Monday. How can she get sicker when she is already on medication? Should the doctor try something different to get her better? HELP!! ************************* Holly, mama to: iel (10) & Jenavieve (4) http://www.myspace.com/maymom96
