Guest guest
Thank you. I would love some info about reflux if you don't mind, i don't know anything about it. I know about a total of 5 times (since he's been born) my newborn has vomited undigested milk, I mean PROJECTILE vomit- out his mouth and nose. sorry to be so graphic. I was worried but he seemed fine afterward. I don't think it was an allergy because he did it on breast milk and two types of formula. Thanks again. Guest guest
Hey Donna - Just real quick. My older son had thrush A LOT as an infant and baby too. The only thing that would work is Diflucan, and it would always come back a couple months later. He was finally diagnosed with Reflux at the age of 3 and I was told that thrush is a " red flag " for reflux. I'm not saying your son has esophogeal reflux, but just wanted to you be aware. If you want more information on GERD (Gastro-esophogeal reflux Disorder) just let me know. My son's reflux is completely resolved now and he is doing great. My younger son also had BAD excema when he was an infant. He is now 2 1/2 and we battled it with prescription creams and Attarax for 2 years until we finally took him off of milk and we haven't had any problems with it since!! I will tell you that the best over the counter cream to use is Cetaphil. It is rather expensive, but it is the only cream out there that worked with Bricen and seemed to " tame " the itch. (I tried the ALL too!!) At times the excema would get so severe in his creases (behind his knees and at the bend of the elbow) we would lather the cream on real thick and wrap his arms and legs and torn pieces of sheets for the night. This way the cream wouldn't get rubbed off. The Dermotologist told me if I was ever desperate, one of the best things to use is grease. Not the oil, but the good ol' Crisco that comes in the bucket. I admit I did use it a couple of times, but still always went back to the Cetaphil!! Just wanted to let you know your not alone and to give you some advice on some things that took me years to discover!!
