Guest guest
Cheryl -VP Cherab I was quite interested in your e-mail regarding the Reading First - Leave No Child Behind program under the ESEA. Does this apply to the State of CT also? How are the child's skills measured- is it by age or by grade? How severe must the deficit be to obtain supports? If the child has attentional issues is it possible for the team to determine how much of that piece is impacting the test scores? Also, in evaluating this child for speech and language services, if the child is at national low average standards however they are clearly below their school peers in expressive language skills is there a way to prevent reduction of speech services. Your comments would be very helpful. Thank you!! ---------------------------------
