Guest guest
Planning a trip to Universal Studios this spring. It will be our first time there and I wanted to get some information on any disability pass they might have. We have been to Disney World a bunch of time and are very familiar with their disability pass and FastPass. - Can you tell me how the passes work at Universal? - Do they have a disability pass that allows us to reduce our wait time? Does it cover all of their parks? - What kind of proof do you need to take (doctor's note, etc.) to get the pass? - Do you have to get one every day of the trip or just on the first day? - If there is no disabled person in our group, do they have something similar to the FastPass that Disney has? - Does staying at one of the Universal properties (hotels) help at all with the passes? Thanks for any information! Never miss a thing. Make your homepage.

Guest guest
Hi I wrote yesterday to ask about what disney does for the kids and decided to call them today to ask what kind of documentation they require and what kind of accomodations they offer. Well, to my surprise they gave me no answers except that I should bring my child to guest services for them to determine what type of accomodations he needs and they will be the ones to determine if he needs any at all. Is this true? i was a bit surprised. What could they ask my child to do or say to determine what he should get? Anyway i was hoping you may know a little more since you stated that you have already gone there. I will hopefully be home from universal by the time you go and I can let you know how it works there. i appreciate any help you could give me. thank you! > > Planning a trip to Universal Studios this spring. Guest guest
Disney Orlando (that's the only one we've gone to) has been extremely easy to deal with. We show up inside in guest services (after purchasing tickets) to get the disability pass. I usually take a current doctor's note or specialist report with the diagnosis. That has always been enough for the person at the window to issue the pass. Of course there's always a chance that you will run into a clerk who wants to look at your child and make a determination for him/herself but I have never heard of that happening. You tell the clerk how long your stay is and they write the dates in so your pass is good for the entire stay (i.e., you only have to line up for the pass on the first day). Once you have the pass it is good for all the disney parks and the people manning the rides are extremely accomodating as soon as you show the pass. You usually wind up going down the fast pass queue and your wait time on any ride is virtually none. Only works on rides and not for meals or character signings. > > > > Planning a trip to Universal Studios this spring. Guest guest
Hi I just got back from Universal and yes they do have a pass. the difference is that they required me to go to guest services each day at the park to get a new set of passes. They give out the number of passes that are in your party. they only wanted to give me 6 but i had a large group so they gave me 9. They are computer printed with the date on them so thay do have to be updated everyday. The park and staff were very accomodating, it was great! Also I don't know if you purchased your tickets yet but thay have a ticket online that gives you 7 days of unlimited access to both parks for like $87. It's a great deal. Also, they have a meal deal that can be purchased even if you are not staying in their resorts. For about $20. you have unlimited trips to a few specified restaurants in the parks. WELL worth the money. Actually, you could probABLY feed your entire family on the 1 bracelet, if you don't mind getting online a few times. Hope you have a great trip and thanks for your help with the disney pass!
