Guest guest
My son was dx with high functioning autism in Nov by 2 separate neuro's. We don't agree with this dx and have asked our regional center to refer to a psych for testing. I do however, think he has asperger's. What cracks me up is no one will dx AS in a kid under 5, but as everyone who has an AS kid can attest to seeing issues as early as age 2 and kids hitting their hardest times between 3-5 (of course when EI is all done and you are on your own) So when people ask his dx I tell them Autism for now, but it will be Asperger's in a few years. Oh, my son is 2 1/2 and the last 2 months have been hell with him socially. I know some of it IS expected as this age, but even with my own parents, who he sees a few times a week since birth, he has now started to freak out around. There are definte good days and bad days, but when my mom (AKA the Ostrich) has noticed this and is showing concern, it only validates me. Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.
Guest guest
Then your neuros are right, because Aspergers is a form of high-functioning autism. :-) Blessings...<>< Rene Coston http://homeschoolingforlove.blogspot.com "I believe in the sun even when it is not shining, in love even when I am alone and in God even when He is silent."
