Weird Al of 'Eat It' fame! I can't believe he's still around. How neat. "Have a banana, have the whole bunch. It doesn't matter what you had for lunch."

"Have some Spam. Eat the whole can!"

Thanks for the smile.

Hi,

I just kind of haunt the boards but really don't post much at all. I saw your idea and thought I'd reply. I have a 12 year old son with Asperger's, who also loves weird Al, video games, and soccer. We too have tried to find something like that and found one where the children emailed, but it's too slow, I think, to keep interest (that's what he said). I would really like to see a chat set up that we could monitor and/or a kind of blog type site - what would you think of that?

Thanks for any input.

Channing and all, You asked for a postal mail pen pal, does that mean that you do not wantemail?I would like to start a group for Autistic youth/adults to email each otherin a safe environment but do not know if there is interest. We joined onetwo years ago. It was active for a month and then no one wrote anymore. My son is 12 and loves Weird Al music and action movies. He loves to getemail. Please let me know if there is interest. I would be glad to set up thegroup and moderate it. If such a group exists, please let me know. Thanks

Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.

Question Sunrose101: IF I had my husband set up a chat or establish a

blog, would your 13 year old be interested? Does he/she play computer

games? If so, which ones.......I'm thinking that if we could start

chat or blog, we'd have a lot of luck interest from the children.

I think this would be a great way for our kids to bounce

ideas/questions off of each other, which would also help their social

skills in other situations - this is what I hope for anyway. I would

like to see this chat as a place for them to help each other maneuver

their social world by sharing what has worked and not worked for each

of them.

Any input, anyone? What do you think Sunrose (sorry but I haven't

caught your name yet) :o}

Thanks all,

Margie

I have a 14y/o son with high funtioning aspergers who

would like to be part of the email, chat group, etc.

He doesnt' have alot of friends at all, this would be

a great idea for him to talk to others with the same

issues. He loves computers and video games, so much so

that he's restricted to an hour a day or we'd never

see him. Please let me know if things start up.
