Guest guest
I have a question for all of you dealing with gut issues in your kiddos. My 10yo, , has had this pain, which he calls " his spot, " in his lower left abdomen. He's had it for, no lie, almost 9 years now. Yes, NINE years. We are FINALLY getting somewhere, though, thankfully. He's been on miralax for a good year now, no help, really. We were on our way to the drive in Sunday evening, and we ended up turning around and going home because he was in tears his belly hurt so bad. It got better, but he stayed home from school yesterday because of a sore throat, stomach ache, low grade fever, and his spot hurt. We were able to get in to the GI, luckliy. I REALLY like this GI, but he is puzzled! We are scheduled for a full abdomen ultrasound: liver, gall bladder, kidneys, pancreas, stomach, intestines, make sure appendix is where it's suppsed to be, bladder, and is to point out his " spot " so that area can really be looked at closely. I guess I really don't know what my question about this is, but I just want some answers for my kid, you know?! Does anyone have any insight, or is just a hurry up and wait for the results type deal? What might it show? , or my other 2 for that matter, do not have PID, but 's belly stuff just sound so much like what I have read about others here. Thanks for letting me ask my silly questions!! Meg, mom to , 15, asthma, allergies, growth hormone def , 10, asthma, allergies, gut issues Annie, 8, asthma, allergies, and hoping she still has good pneumo antibodies from another shot in Feb!
