Hi everyone! I have a question- I really need to start bringing some money into the house, so I am looking for a legitimate, work from home, flexible job. Looking online for something like this has led me to TONS of scams and "just pay us $500 and you'll make double that in the first day!" claims. I can't get a "regular" job because of all of the girls' appointments...they are always during the day. Also, I can't rely on my husband to take them to appointments (there are 6 therapy appointments a week...that's not even considering all the other appointments (neurologist, developmental ped, dan dr., urologist, ortho, neurosurgeon) because he'll be going out to sea once he gets back to sea duty (Navy). Can anyone please send me in the right direction for any legitimate jobs like this? Thank you in advance!

ElissaMom to (6), Jennah (4- ppd-nos, adhd), and Jesmarie (2- lipomyelomeningocele, tethered cord, syringomyelia, neurogenic bladder, grade II reflux, daily prophylaxis, surgeries at 3 months and 10 months)

Have you thought about babysitting. Even though we are busy taking care of our own kids we can't see one or two more for a minute but once you are in the swing of things it's really not so hard. They can also come with you to the kids appointments. Keep informed, Keep posting, Keep trying.

I've done babysitting since before my little Aspie was born and it's worked out great. It's very hard at first but once you get going it is a very good paying job and it will keep you with your children. My son has benefited from "ready made" friends. When it was time to start kindergarten, was in the same class as 3 others I looked after so he had a nice group, ready made. I'm sure it made the transition much easier for him.

Getting to your appts may be difficult but you may be able to take them with you or maybe you will find others who babysit who would fill in for you sometimes. I have a good friend who babysits and when either of us has appts the other comes to watch the kids. It works great for both of us.

Good luck!

I have thought about that. I guess I didn't want to commit to so many

hours a day and to every day of the work week. When you do something

like that you can't just take a day " off " to stay in pajamas and mope

around all day. When you do that, you still take care of your own

kids, but I'm sure another child's mother won't appreciate you taking

it easy one day and letting the kids watch t.v. while you mope around

for a day. Know what I mean? I might end up having to do that,

though. THanks for the idea :)
