Guest guest
Here is one from the first day of school.... my son got in the car after the first day of school this year (8th grade). I asked how his day was. Everything was great until last period when a boy voice his opinion that my son's dog was ugly (mind you he has never seen my son's dog but whatever). Anyway my son was upset about the comment. My husband talked to him (man to man). The next day my son gets in the car and the conversation goes something like this... me - how was your day - son -it was great! - me -really - son -yes, I apologized to that boy from yesterday me - what? why? son - I told him that my step dad told me that he was entitled to his opinion and I should not have gotten so upset yesterday by this time I am a little miffed that MY child was the one to apologize to this little jerk that was tormenting MY baby - and wait until I get home and get a hold of MY husband... son - I also told him that my stepdad told me that opinions are like butts - everyone has one. I look over at my son and he has a little smirk on his face - way to go hubby!!! Just a lil funny> Hello everyone....>> Thought that I would share a funny thing that happened with Krystal> while we were on vacation. Guest guest
I will have to remember that one. Our homeschooled, autistic male child has long hair (past his shoulders) which is clean, combed, red and in a headband or pony tail. He doesn't know what to do when some of his little peers insist that he is a girl or demand that he should get his hair cut. This is a very polite and kind boy here who would never do that to anyone else. I will remind him about everyone having a butt and opinion. He will keep that in his head and laugh to himself when he deals with these lovely children. We find it is the children who are over-controlled and would kill to be able to wear their hair how they would like who are the worst offenders. They have obviously learned about shame as a manipulative tactic at home/school. Oh, well.... everyone has an opinion and a ......
