Does anyone have any experience with this? My son's OT let me borrow some of

the pre-K set for my 3 1/2 year old. We played with the pieces and he seemed to

enjoy himself. Is it worth it to go through the training?

Any input would be helpful.

I'm an OT, as well as a parent of a child on the spectrum. I wouldn't say that it's necessary to go to the HWT course-- your son's OT should be able to give you whatever info you need to know. It certainly wouldn't hurt, however, if you were interested in knowing more about the program. First, see how your son responds to it-- is it something that he "gets"? Any particular program will work for some kids and not for others, so you want to make sure this is something that will work for your son before putting a lot of time and effort into getting trained. Just an opinion. My son loves the HWT wood blocks (making letters out of them), and making letters with playdough has been fun, too. All the best.
