Guest guest
I currently reside in Mn., not for long though. And my 5 year old son was diagnosed with high functioning autism this past March. We put him in pre school, with a special ed teacher and para's. Shortly after the problems begin. He was kicked off the bus after a behavioral problem, I found the teacher " wrestling " him to the floor, looked like an episode of cops. They said he was extremely stressed before leaving school, and couldnt explain why they didnt just call me to come get him. My son also has the sensory issues that go along with autism, which I was informed I need to change over night, my child cant be in society if he cant act normal. Now these being only some of the things I know of, Im afraid of the unknowns that might have existed. That teacher has been relieved of her teaching duties, but only after go through Pacer and the county, the school board didnt seem to care to much. Guest guest
I guess this is what the individual posting from Canada missed..regardless of how much anyone in any country thinks it's okay to padlock a child into a cell ... I do not. And in America we won't stand for this. It may be happening at any school district as when I've discovered them before and started to protest..parents came out looking and also got quite upset not even knowing it was there...so I agree with this post that 'who knows what you would have found'..the wrestling part..if not in a BIP for some type of restraint..was also against the law. I would have called the cops on them personally...and our kids ARE a functioning part of society..in many ways.. recently they have let society know that we are BLIND sometimes by believing people in positions of Authority... don't ever believe it.. check it out for yourself. Ask other parents..and make sure your child is safe. Thank you, E. , Sr. The Office of Advocacy for Autistic Children > > I currently reside in Mn., not for long though.
