Guest guest
Hello , I am new to this list . I read about about the enzymes on another group and signed up here. I have been reading a lot about the two enzymes. My question is does there enyzmes work on vegetable also. I see a lot of vegetables in my son's stool. eg: peas, carrots, spinach. It all seems to be coming out not digested and he is not getting any benefit from them. Would these enzyme help overall digestion of all foods. I really want to try the enzyme but am waiting for the holidays so if he has regression then he will be home and not have any more problems at school. Thanks for all your help. Guest guest
....and as a litttle period to the end of Aurthur's sentence, I have a great split pea soup recipe (no issue with textures) that my little fuss budget can't wolf down fast enough, if you're interested. It's also got carrots and a touch of garlic (nature immune booster) and is totally vegetarian. I use vegetarian bouillon instead of ham or ham hocks. I've had several requests for the recipe; but I would love to help " the cause " . ;^) Amber
Guest guest
Hi Vinutha, if your son is having trouble digesting vegetables, have you had his intestinal flora checked? It might also help to cook his vegetables real soft so he benefits from the amino-acids rather than excrete them. There's nothing like a good home- made soup! Yes, some enzymes can help with vegetables, as well as the other methods suggested. You would want a product that helps with over-all digestion as opposed to one that works primarily on proteins. We use Zyme Prime for this. My younger son in particular would have just partially digested everything in his stools. He has been on it about 5 months now (my how time flys!) and everything is pretty digested all the time. I also give him Culturelle twice a day. I am sending you a document on which enzymes break down which foods from the Files section. . P.S. I would like Amber to post the pea soup recipe as well. That is about the only soup my kids will eat (believe it or not, LOL).
Guest guest
Amber, Your soup sounds very interesting! Tell me though, does it contain soy? If not, I'd sure love to give it a try. Sue
Guest guest
Nope, not a drop...unless the most recent genetic engineering includes adding soy to carrots, onions or garlic! Haha! Amber
