I have been on Humira for about 4 months now. They are injections every 2 weeks. I was on Enbrel for about 3 months before that without really great results. My switch to Humira seemed to be working better, but now I feel as though I'm backsliding again. My doc is increasing my methotrexate from 3 to 5 a week (pills, that is) and may go as high as 6/week. I've been holding steady at 2 mg of prednisone, but things could be better.

I haven't noticed any side effects from the Humira. Sometimes I feel as though I get worse just as I'm ready to take a shot again, but I think that's pretty common with all drugs.

Gloria,

I thought when you are on a Biologic DMARD you didn't have to take

the Methotrexate.

I see a rheumy for the first time the 27th and was hoping to get off

the Prednisone, Plaquinil and Methotrexate by getting a prescription

for one of the new Bio-DMARDS.

Good luck,

Jay

Hi Jay, From the lectures I've attended on the biological DMARDs, those given with the methotrexate seem to have been outcomes. I know that I'd prefer to be off everything that I can. Take care and God bless, Sandy
