Guest guest
Thanks for the reply about blood in urinalysis. Seem crazy, doesn't it that they should just shrug it off. Have any more of you run across this problem and gotten shrugged off when they find blood in the urine. We're really concerned here--unlike the Doctor. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! I use HNI Enzymes and am currently trying to transition out of the GFCF diet. Blood in urine is never normal! Nystatin is considered very safe, so don't worry. It would be good to use with a probiotic. Lots of different ones out there, but I prefer ones with no FOS in it. You can also use other more " natural " products, but for an acute attack right now, Nystatin is fine. Read all the files on DeFelice's board and you'll be an expert soon. Get her book, if you can. Enzymes and autism and other neurological disorders (I hope I have that title right?). I'm not a fan of special schools, but if you cannot do home-based one-on-one tuition then perhaps you can get a mainstream placement with help, or is that what you have now? Good luck, Marti
Guest guest
Check for injury (maybe she scratched herself). Check for a urinary tract infection (take a urine sample to the pediatrician). Is she drinking enough water? You have to be careful with the GFCF diet that you don't overdo the carbs and sugar. That will just make the yeast worse. Lots of protein and low-starch veggies, very little fruit, juice, breads, cereal, candy, etc. Hope she gets better soon! I know how frustrating the yeast overgrowths can be. - Becky

However, parents who've been doing this a while can correct me if I'm wrong and I would very much want them to do so. Guest guest
Hi , > I just need to hear from others if I am taking the appropriate steps by starting off with the gfcf diet, controlling the yeast, starting the enzyemes , keeping her on nystain and making chealation my last resort. Or should I go ahead and do chealation?? well, personally I don't see chelation as a " last resort " . If your child is metal toxic, it is likely to really help. Then again, chelation takes a long time, and there is nothing wrong with doing other things too IF you can manage it (which may be a big " if " . One can only do so many " things " at any given time.) Personally, I would suggest that you start to read about chelation, and learn about it, and also get a hair test run: /files/HOW_TO_hair_test This is a good first step IMO. You can also try the other things as you have time and energy. Here is some introduction material about chelation, if you want to start absorbing info: /files/Mercury-Autism%20FA Q http://www.danasview.net/chelate.htm http://www.danasview.net/parent3.htm#chelation http://www.healing-arts.org/children/holmes.htm Moria

Or should I go ahead and do chealation?? In my opinion, you should start supplements/vitamins and then chelation. You can do (almost) anything else while you chelate. Actually I would start with this: /files/ANDY_INDEX and then supplements and chelation. Good luck! Valentina
Guest guest
| I am very new to the group and have just started my newly 4 yr old on the gfcf diet. I and eliminating all the the g and c that is ever so possible. I am doing pretty good for a beginner but I have a long way to go. I have seen a little regression in her in reference to potty training. She was almost completely potty trained and did not go @ night either until the diet, now she is going more frequently and in the middle of the night as well. I have also started the epson salt baths. Guess what? She now has a heavy yeast infection (which I have called for nystain) and today her spec. ed. teacher saw a little (and I mean little) drop of blood when she went potty. | | Are all these things normal? I ordered her enzyemes today to begin ASAP. I have a wonderful mother who has been helping me through this process. I just need to hear from others if I am taking the appropriate steps by starting off with the gfcf diet, controlling the yeast, starting the enzyemes , keeping her on nystain and making chealation my last resort. Or should I go ahead and do chealation?? If you think I should start the chealation I would like for someone to help me with the step by step process and what does what and for how long. , I agree with Becky, she may have a UTI. The substitute foods you are using while going GFCF may be causing some problems and/or the urination. I think others have mentioned frequent urination as a result of apple juice, for example. I've also heard from a doctor that microscopic blood in the urine is associated with food allergies (this wouldn't explain visable blood, though). Actually, chelation makes my girl urinate at night more often, so you may want to wait to start until she's healthier. I'm one of those people who tend to think that aggresive detox has to wait until the child's body is ready for it, so doing diet/supplements first makes sense to me. Start out with very small doses to be safe. But I'd be surprised if most of our kids don't need chelation, and I tend to think it's the cause of most of these problems, so you may as well plan on doing it. K. Guest guest
Since I had these implants I have had blood in my urine. I had implants removed and still have blood in urine. What can I do to stop it?
Guest guest
I know this isn't exactly the same, but it reminded me of what happened to me. When I had implants, I had blood in my stool very often. My sister-in-law had Ulcerative Colitis and had to have an Illiostomy (sp?) and now she has a Colostomy bag. She had blood in her stool too, so we all freaked out thinking I had Colitis and I went to the doctor...I had a lower GI and a colonoscopy and they both showed NOTHING! They couldn't even tell me where the blood was coming from! Since my explant, I haven't had any more bleeding. It was really weird. From: mmdamaria@... Guest guest
Blood in the urine could be serious and you should really go to a urolgoist and be checked out. It may or may not be associated with the implants. do you have a UTI or kidney/bladder infection? Please get checked out ok? hugs In , Colleen <cfortner@e...> wrote: > I know this isn't exactly the same, but it reminded me of what happened to > me. Guest guest
I had that, along with spasms of the urethra, and I found that Medical Grade Aloe helped me tremendously. Within a year it was all cleared up and never a problem again. Don't take drugs to make this better. I have found they just make you worse in the long run.
