Lucky to the extent that I have my lands and such to support myself. Unlucky in having anxiety and the negative aspects of AS.

Here's my take on luck. Luck does not exist ... not good luck and not

bad luck. Everything is a result of circumstances mixed with effort

and the balance of the Universe. The thing is to look for the good in

everything that happens, even the disastrous things that happen, and

to learn from every good thing and to forge on.

So am I lucky? I cannot say yes and I cannot say no. Do I invest

myself completely in those things that touch my life. Absolutely. If

this means that others think I am lucky, then so be it.

I think I am probably far too stubborn for anyone to ever dare call me

lucky in any sense of the word. But do I think people give too much

weight or credence to the concept of bad luck or good luck? You bet I

do. It's like believing in curses. I do not believe in curses. No

one has the ability to curse me safe the one who made me and that

would be Great Spirit. And since Great Spirit does not go around

cursing his people made of clay, then I am safe from any curse that

may be thrown in my general -- or specific -- direction.

Oooh, that's a hard one. I think there are some people for whom

things seem to go right and those who for things seem to go wrong and

I'm sure a small percentage of these just have good or bad

luck, 'luck' meaning that's just how things go. But I think there are

factors, whether seen or unseen, that go into it. I do wonder if

there is something more than just how things go or how you influence

your environment. It seems like a person who is at a certain level of

negativity or downtroddenness has things go worse for them. I've

noticed that with others and myself. Almost like there's a certain

threshold and if you can just meet that threshold or rise above it

you will be okay, barring disasters.

That being said, I used to consider myself very unlucky to the point

where the irony of my life put me on a different level--I felt

completely out of the world others were living in. That actually

helped me just be me with no expectations except where the world was

demanding of me and I was, unfortunately, failing. I finally was able

to raise myself up enough to get on a level where things began to

work okay for me. I will say that though a lot of it was my

downtrodden state in life due to what cards I was dealt, so to speak,

that was hard to overcome, as well as being Aspergers, there were

also bad forces working against me and good forces working for me

which shaped events in different stages of my life.

Whew, this is difficult to explain.
