Guest guest
, My daughter also was terrified of needles...really any medical procedure. We did resort to both psych treatment and meds. The meds helped the most, although we did have to use fairly high doses because she even fought the effect of those. After several months of using them pre-treatment(after finding the right dose), we were able to taper off. Eventually, we were able to stop them all together. It took us maybe a year. It was a long time ago, so I can't remember what they gave her. I am thinking Ativan or something like that. I hope that you find something that works for your daughter. Watching them suffer like that just makes everything so much more stressful than it already is!
