COX-2 meds

Hi Sierra,

The COX-2 meds all work against the same thing in the body, but are

definitely not the same (as I found from experience). If you have a

sensitivity to sulfa drugs, Celebrex can (probably will) cause an

allergic reaction, which the others do not. Even though they are

easier on the stomach then traditional NSAIDs, they can still cause

stomach problems. I've found I can take 25 mg of Vioxx ok, but when

I boost it to 50mgs, I start having problems with nausea. Each of us

responds differently to meds, which is why the drug companies have

come up with so many choices within the same theraputic class of

drugs. Hope you find one that works for you.
