I have a question. I posted a question that where I asked for

advice. How is it decided which posts get seen, and which don't? If

I need advice, isn't that just as important as others? The advice I

needed was about sibling rivalry due to a child with disability

getting more attention. I would think this is an issue that many

families are dealing with, not just mine. If you need me to restate

my question, here it is...

Hi,

I guess I should introduce myself to everyone in the group, now that

I have been informed that this IS a support group for

Autism/Asperger's. I am Jodie, and I live in the Los Angeles area.

I am a single mom of a wonderful 13 year old son (my ASD), and an 11

year old daughter (NT, but not really!) I believe I have figured out

how to fight the system, and have great accommodations in place for

my son.

Right now the bain of my existence is the sibling rivalry/jealousy

between my two kids. I have tried all the things everyone has ever

suggested, so I wanted to know if anyone had anything different?? I

spend lots of 1:1 time with my daughter (son has 44 hours of respite

a month), and even 1:1 time with my son. I don't compare them, but

they compare themselves. Their bickering is 24/7...or maybe 18/7

(when they are sleeping it is peaceful).

I'd appreciate any advice on this issue...it is really stressing me

out!!

Jodie
