Guest guest
thank you millie for remainding me, the links now work again. yesterday evening i used this free webspace for the first time, and it worked yesterday. but today they stopped the site because it was not allowed for filestoring. now it is on my own website and it should work more permanent ;-) sorry for the inconvenience. here is the link: http://draladesign.de/splitaudio/ there are two zip files to download. michael
Guest guest
hello listmates, there were a number of downloads of the split audio designs, but so far i did get no feedback. i would love to hear about your expereriences and whether you found the designs useful. it would be most helpful to me to improve the designs, especially the critical responses. thank you, michael > > thank you millie for remainding me, the links now work again. yesterday evening i used this free webspace for the first time, and it worked yesterday. but today they stopped the site because it was not allowed for filestoring. now it is on my own website and it should work more permanent ;-) > sorry for the inconvenience. > > here is the link: http://draladesign.de/splitaudio/ > > there are two zip files to download. > > michael >
Guest guest
Hi , I finally got a chance to play with your split audio tracks. I used Pete's Multiband Coherence Down '10 design since his newest has 5 continuous midis. Once I figured out I had to get rid of the midis and add 4 audio players, it was easy to add the tracks. I played back a recorded session and made the initial mistake of choosing enable which of course through the song out of whack. I made the change to volume and had a pleasing " Dancing Queen " result. Kudo's to you!! I will play around some more now that I figured out the process of changing the designs. I noticed you not only have " Dancing Queen " split into a set of 4 instrument tracks, but also a set of 2 tracks with bass/piano on one and drums/synthesizer on the other. This adds a nice option for designs that have only two rewards. I'm looking forward to experimenting a bit more and would like to create a split audio library of many different genres for training. Thanks for sharing your genius. Best wishes, Millie > > > > thank you millie for remainding me, the links now work again. yesterday evening i used this free webspace for the first time, and it worked yesterday. but today they stopped the site because it was not allowed for filestoring. now it is on my own website and it should work more permanent ;-) > > sorry for the inconvenience. > > > > here is the link: http://draladesign.de/splitaudio/ > > > > there are two zip files to download. > > > > michael > > >
Guest guest
Hi , I went back to the download site and was pleased to discover your designs. I will have an easier time now, but when I played back a COH DOWN recorded session, the song played continuously…no apparent feedback. I changed the volume range, but that did not seem to work either. I then tried your 1 INH 1 REW…and after reading the design notes, I did change the bandpass filters and heard the subtle volume changes. I went back to the COH DOWN and re-read the design notes, but still don’t know how to set the REW since coherence is not a measure of frequency. I look forward to checking out the other designs and hope to hear the COH DOWN work too. Thanks! Guest guest
millie, thank you for testing the designs and your feedback. as i work more with the designs i discover that they need a little bit of finetuning in the beginning of a session. that way the difference between the amplitude or coherence produced by the client translates more into louder/ quieter music feedback. that makes the feedback more a real proportional feedback which i found very helpful for learning to control brain activity. one way of finetuning would be to set all the audio players on auto range ( double click audioplayer, rider volume, and turn on autorange) after a minute or so when the client has settled down. then turn off the autorange and leave the numbers at about the same value. that way the differences in the volume of the music are much stronger. if there are big changes in the amplitude you could change these numbers during the session as well. during the session you can finetune the volumes with the threshold bars. when you slide the slider up towards 2, you multiply the amplitude or coherence with that factor and thus the music gets louder or quieter. ( when you train down amplitude and multiply with 2, the music gets quieter. you would do that if the client already succesfully diminished the trained amplitude.) when you slide the slider down you multiply the amplitude with the factor in the display. in that case, if you would train down amplitude, the music would get louder. you would do that that the client gets enough positive feedback not to get frustrated. by the way, some audio players are set for downtraining. there volume range goes from 100 to 0. others are for uptraining, there volume range goes from 0 to 100. it is important not to confuse them and when you change the trained frequencies in the bandpass filters to use the bandpass filters named inhibit for downtraining and reward for uptraining. yes, so far there are only a few songs. but to quote pete training is not supposed to be entertainment. but there should be some more songs, not everybody likes abba ;-) there is also the goldberg variation from bach, were i cut out the fast parts, for feedback with 2 audio players. i used it for alpha training at pz, split into 8-10hz and the melody at 10-12hz. when you finetune the melody a little more quiet, the brain produces more 10-12 and the alpha peak frequency rises. there is also this famous air from bach, this is split in three. i used it for one reward two inhibits, with the melody part on the reward. there is also stairway to heaven for two audio players. the idea with a library is great, we can exchange our files so there is more options. i am looking forward to hear your experiences when you yourself trained with these designs. i personally find this kind of feedback much more immediate related to my experience in training than the 70% on/off feedback or the stuttering music training with feedback 95% of the time. and they are fun ;-) michael > > > > > > thank you millie for remainding me, the links now work again. yesterday evening i used this free webspace for the first time, and it worked yesterday. but today they stopped the site because it was not allowed for filestoring. now it is on my own website and it should work more permanent ;-) > > > sorry for the inconvenience. > > > > > > here is the link: http://draladesign.de/splitaudio/ > > > > > > there are two zip files to download. > > > > > > michael > > > > > >
