Guest guest
I have 3 kids who are the light of my life. My oldest son and middle child has sensory processing disorder, his OT keeps telling me he is very mild with it. However I have other parents keep asking me if he is autistic. i have had him tested before but it always comes back just sensory integration dysfunction/sensory processing disorder whatever you want to call it. lol I am wondering with the new findings of " autism spectrum " if SID is considered " autism spectrum " or if it is different. I have done a ton of research on autism when I was in school for teaching, I have worked with autistic kids, and although I am not a doctor or anything I do not think he has it. Not that it is wrong or anything I just get so tired of people giving me advice to get my son tested for something. Especially when one of those friends has a special needs child of her own with much bigger intense issues then my own son. He is a little delayed and I would say he does have autistic tendencies, but again with the whole " autism spectrum " term thrown out there now I am not so sure what all that includes lol. any insight?
