Guest guest
I'm writing to ask if any of you here who have knowledge or experience with internal detoxing would please offer your advice or suggestions with regards to a protocol for internal/colon cleansing. I'm also interested in hearing about peoples' suggestions for supplementation, not only in terms of how much and how often to take things, but also in terms of getting the most nutritional bang for your buck. After doing some experimenting of my own, along with a bunch of reading and research, I've assembled a number of ingredients which I feel are appropriate, and am trying to figure out how and when to best utilize them to create an effective protocol for internal cleansing and increased nourishment. Here's what I have been using so far: For increased motility: Homozon Dr. Schulze's IF #1 Natural Calm (magnesium citrate) For drawing out impurities: Pure bentonite clay (I have both powdered and hydrated clay on hand) Activated charcoal (fine grade powder in bulk) Apple pectin Slippery elm bark Marshmallow root Psyllium seeds and husks Chia seeds Food grade 35% h2o2 For supplemental nourishment/further detoxing: Spirulina Chlorella Greener Grasses (contains several kinds of powdered grass juices) Pure Synergy (green superfood powder) Fulvic acid liquid minerals Shilajit Aside from the Natural Calm (once a day) and the hydrated clay (4-5 days per week) I've been taking the rest of these things kind of haphazardly, here and there. But I'd like some advice in getting more organized about taking all this stuff, and maybe coming up with a specific protocol for around a 4 or 5 day colon cleanse, as well as a more directed way of taking these things on an ongoing basis in the most effective way possible. I noticed in your book, Dr. Pressman, that you don't give specific directions for colon cleansing, so I'd be interested to know what, if anything, you would recommend in this regard. Since I've always had problems with constipation, I've started taking a cup of magnesium citrate tea every night before bed, which has helped tremendously in getting things moving. And so far I've taken one canister of Homozon over the course of several months, by consuming one rather generous dose about once a week. I have another full can of Homozon, and would like some advice on how to take it in conjunction with some or all of the drawing ingredients, to really help effect a more thorough, concentrated internal cleansing. I haven't passed any kind of mucoid plaque, but I think that may be because I've yet to follow any kind of concentrated, directed protocol. Also, I just started taking the Schulze IF # 1 a few weeks ago (maybe 1 cap per day, 4 or 5 times a week) because I realize that the magnesium products do nothing to stimulate peristalsis. So far I've only done one liver flush, but it was very productive, with lots of gravel, chaff, sludge and a fair amount of green stones passed. I'd like to do another one soon, and am wondering if this can be done at the same time as doing a colon cleanse, or if that's even advisable. Also, I used a couple of doses of Homozon just prior to the liver flush and found that doing this cleared my digestive tract of all the food I ate the day of the flush, so that it was basically empty before I drank the olive oil/grapefruit juice potion that night. I still gave myself an enema in the afternoon, and I sure did spend a lot of time on the toilet that day, but I felt like getting my insides so clear like that really helped the flush to be more effective. Can anyone comment on my use of Homozon like this, please? Is what I did a good idea or not? As far as diet is concerned, I've been steadily increasing my consumption of raw organic veggies, greens and fruits, and have been working towards reducing the amount of processed foods, white flour sugar etc. I only use saturated fats like coconut oil, palm oil and butter for cooking, and stick to cold pressed EVOO for salads and dressings etc. I don't seem to eat very much in the way of grains or legumes anymore, but do like quinoa. And I've only been eating sourdough bread, for its supposed increased digestibility. There's a great source of raw dairy products from pastured cows in my area, and I've been enjoying some of these, while making a real effort to avoid the use of any kind of pasteurized factory farmed dairy. I'm not a meat eater, but do like cheese, and for some time now have only been eating the kind I get locally that's made from grass fed cows' milk. Fortunately, I'm not ill, but I am feeling really motivated to do everything I can in terms of detoxing and becoming better nourished now, to help prevent disease from happening down the road. Interestingly, in the past I have suffered from seasonal allergies, but I've noticed now that things are starting to bloom in the early spring around here, although a lot of people around me seem to be sneezing, sniffling and congested, so far I've remained clear as a bell. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if this lasts as more things start blooming and more pollen starts flying, but so far I'm encouraged. If anyone here would like to share their experiences with detoxing, cleansing, flushing, supplementing etc, or offer their suggestions for good protocols to follow, I'd be really interested in hearing them. Thanks in advance for any advice, infomation or sharing on this subject that anyone would like to offer. elan

Hi Elan, Man, you're doing good! All that stuff you are doing is good. You could be us advice. <G> What I would suggest is just do one thing at a time so you can really tell how your body is responding to it. For instance, I'd just do the homozon daily for bowel cleansing. Say a tsp. or so a day. That usually does a pretty good job by itself. I have done the liver cleanses and then followed with a dose of homozon the following day to aid in eliminating even more stones. Supplements would be vitamins C always a good one. Bs and some form of minerals. I've heard minerals are the baseboard of good health. Or yeah, drink good water. Like I said you're doing good and could give us advice.
