Hi Sharon, I was just wondering where you were. I am sorry that you have had

all of this happen to you and your family, but I am glad that they found out

what is wrong with your son. What can they do for him. Is his treatment

starting to work ( ie..noticable change back to his old personality ? ). Keep

us updated on how he and the rest of your family are doing. May God be with

you all.

Your Lyme Friend,

Thanks. This is as close to " the horse's mouth " as I've gotten so far--I was

hoping someone on our list had actually tried the secretin. I'm dealing with

a military doctor--he's young and he listens, but getting him to prescribe

something off-label will be difficult. We'll see. Thanks again. zach

Many Luck! Zach ,

I'm pretty sure one of our e-friends will help out with any

information, as we are all in the same boat and want whats best for

our child . Your fortunate to have a doctor that will listen. So ,

yes , luck in getting a prescription . I don't know if this will

help , Oral secretin can be ordered by contacting Merced at

mjulie@... . Probably just for information , wouldn't hurt .

Well, luck in your research for answers for your child . Take Care.

Irma , 12 , DS/ASD .

As a teenager, I've been to enough conventions to know that on banquet (and

if there's a dance the night after, then too) no teenager goes to bed before

the dance is over, usually between 12:45 and 1 a.m. So, are you going to let

our one time a year fun by doing that be ruined JUST because LPA has no way

of fixing the alcohol problem?

There seems to be a lot of wars and angry comments being made on this

list, which causes lengthy e mails to read and is about things that some of us

don't care to read. Could I suggest that if two people don't agree about

something, they might e mail each other separately to clear up their

disagreements?

I am a parent of a child with autism who recently saw Dr. G in October and I

am having great success with this protocul. However, this list has

grown in the number of e mails and I find that a lot of them are just plain

fighting and disagreeing, instead of information to help us " new patients " of

Dr. Goldberg.

Just a suggestion!

Re: " Funny Voice Quality "

There are hospitals/ clinics that specialize in " voice " (hyper/hypo-nasality,

VPI velopharyngeal insufficiency, resonance, etc.) SLP's with specialized

training in the area of voice often can be found affiliated with Voice/

Swallowing Centers. The Craniofacial Feeding Team at ish Rite Hospital

in Atlanta Georgia, Dr. Riski; The Tremmel Voice & Swallowing

Center, excellent clinicians as well, Atlanta,GA. I believe NYU (Rusk

Insititute & Columbia) have Voice/Swallowing Centers (or atleast good

departments) In NJ - St. ph's Children's Hospital. There are probably

more, these are the ones that jumped into my mind at the moment. Hope this is

helpful! Keep up the hard work and loving advocacy you are all doing for

your children...Best regards,

Colleagues

After a year's consultancy project with UNISON I am moving on to pastures new. Details in the near future.

Best wishes to all campaigning to return health visiting and school nursing as a cornerstone of any sensible and effective health service.

I wouldn't put too much faith in Reid, I'm afraid. He makes Alan Milburn look pretty cuddly.

I hope to keep in touch in my future employment and will rejoin SENATE, if I may, in the near future.

Best wishes

Sorry June, not returning to the CPHVA. Much as part of me would love to.

Various irons in the fire and at least one may have some relevance to the cause of health visiting and school nursing. I'll keep you posted.

Best wishes
