Guest guest
Certainly, Dr. Bihari has to charge for answering questions because he has to make a living like most of us do. If he didn't charge, there would be so many people asking free questions that he'd end up in the poor house. Guest guest
Actually, my rheumatologist told me that the muscle tiredness was caused by an immune reaction, something about leukotrines (?). I have an appointment on the 20th. I can find out more if anyone is interested. ) ----- Original Message ----- From: oregonbeth Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Sunday, May 09, 2004 10:25 PM Subject: Re: Two questions I have not heard of muscle weakness being caused by RA, but it is more likely a side product of the fact that when you're tired and achy you tend not to be as physically active. There are some auto immune diseases that do cause muscle weakness and fatigue, so keep track of when you notice it and how it shows up, and be sure to mention it to your doc.I personally haven't been able to go off an NSAID after MTX, but have heard of people who have.Beth> 1. Guest guest
I got some beets in my organic box this week and am wondering what to do with them. Do I put them in the juicer or the blender and do I cook them or eat them raw? Do I eat them on their own or with something else (what I mean is, do they taste disgusting?) Raw beets are wonderful. This is an excerpt from another letter about a gentle cleanse with beets. Besides the benefits of this salad it TASTES good too. People who wont eat beets like this. Sweet and crunchy!! *********************************** Sent by Mackarmstr@... this is a version of the basic liver support salad. I grate 1-2 beets, add juice of one lemon (grate the peel too if I have time), add 2-3 T of flax oil. (EV Olive works too) Mix. Take 1 Tablespoon every hour for 6-8 hours for 3 days. Then 1 T 3 times a day BEFORE meals for a week. Beets have a HUGE amount of Vit A and other beneficial liver loving nutrients. And the salad is darn good too. Drawbacks -- beets stain your clothes so be careful. Need fresh beets (I disagree with them on canned being ok), you will poop beet color and your teeth will be hard to keep white (more like a nice pink) for the first 3 days. Otherwise, its a terrific gentle cleanse.
