Guest guest
Hello, My son was put on Diflucan 10 days ago. He had been taking Nystatin for about 4 months. At first I was thinking that we were seeing die off because he was stemming a lot and just not as focused as he had been. Now I'm thinking that he may not be doing well on the Diflucan because his behavior is not improving after 10 days. Is it possible that the Diflucan is not controlling his fungal issue? Dr. G put him on the Diflucan because his liver function was off which I guess is a marker for fungal growth. We had done a yeast test with Great Smokies and they found no yeast. We later had a test done at Chelsea in New York and they did find moderate yeast growth. This was after we had been on the Nystatin for 2 months. We had originally started him on the Nystatin because his Organic Acid Test from Great Plains was off. Citramalic was 3.86, Citric was 1718.45, hippuric was 1051.03 and arabinose was 100.15. I am planning to wait two more days before I call Dr. G on this, but any input would be helpful. Otilia
