Hi Ri,

I booked at Days Inn a couple of days ago, and we are going next week, this

will be my first trip out there. The manager was very friendly and gave us a

room with two queen sized beds for $80 a night, the regular price was $100.

there is a fridge in every room and they have a pool. We rented a mid-sized

car through Thrifty for $30 a day, unlimited mileage. I checked with an

online service for distances from LAX to Tarzana and it said it was

approximately a 28 minute drive. So if you aren't comfortable driving

freeways on the " right " side of the road, I would recommend checking out

cabfare. We have booked a late night flight in the hopes that our little guy

will sleep most of the way (hey! a mom is allowed to dream, right) . I will

let you know how the hotel was when we get back.

At night, this may be true. But traffic varies GREATLY on the 405.

Sometimes it's 30 minutes .....sometimes it's 1 1/2 hours.

Just food for thought....
