Guest guest
Hello, I am new to this list as I was curious about the protocol. I am pleased to learn more of this promising approach and happy to read of success many of you have had the good fortune to experience. Since I joined recently however, I have read many comments about the Pfeiffer Treatment Center that seem to me misrepresent several aspects of that Center. The Pfeiffer Treatment Center has a long and positive record of working with the biiochemistry of certain behaviors and underlying illnesses. Their focus on autism offers many who have no options, some plausible possibilities to explore. Autism may or may not be caused by one single factor. Until the picture is completely clear, it would seem positive to consider and explore options that are presented in a believable and professional manner. While The Pfeiffer Treatment Center sells products that it recommends, there is no requirement to use their compounding pharmacy. One is free to use any pharmacy one chooses to fill the prescription that they prescribe. A vast number of hospitals in this country have their own pharmacy. Does that necessarily constitute a conflict of interest? The Metallothionein defect is determined by evaluating several factors at this point in time. Currently no one test proves the condition exists The Pfeiffer Treatment Center is trying to find a way to boost the start of the Metallothionein Protein that may have been disabled by a variety of different causes. The purpose of this approach is to get to the base or bottom of what may be causing autism ultimately. The Pfeiffer Treatment Center believes that by boosting the metallothionein protein, the body may be able to work optimally. The body may be able to handle various stressors such as heavy metals by detoxifying itself. The body would then be able to protect itself in the future should further 'assaults' on the immune system occur. Keeping an open mind to possible solutions for our children who experience autism would appear to behoove all of us. What each of us wants for our children is for them to regain health and experience life to the fullest extent possible. Until all the answers are crystal clear, it seems wise to stay informed on a number of approaches.
