Guest guest
Going through these types of behaviors can actually be a good thing. Remember that as your child gets healthy, they still have to go through the stages that they missed when they " went under " (the terrible twos). I have a five year old that is still surprising me with child like behaviors (pouring water, sucking on his shirt etc.). The good news is that these behaviors leave as quickly as they come. Guest guest
It is also important to " work " with the behaviors that are causing you concern. When Nick was into the water pouring, we made certain he had very little access to water unless we were monitoring it closely. When we gave him a glass of water, we kept out eye on him until he took a few sips and then we took it away. We all kept our cups out of his reach. He had to ask for more. Unfortunately all of these challenging behaviors do require more focus from us, but as I mentioned, they will go away. Best of luck, Suzanne From: veldanda swapna <swapna_vs@...> Reply- Subject: Re: throwing things and pouring water, plz help Date: Wed, 27 Feb 2002 05:25:18 -0800 (PST) hi suzanne thanks alot for your reply. so u mean to say that therez noneed to add any behavioural therapy to avoid all these.my kid is 4 years. bye --- Suzanne Roelike <Sroelike@...> wrote: > Going through these types of behaviors can actually > be a good thing. > Remember that as your child gets healthy, they still > have to go through the > stages that they missed when they " went under " (the > terrible twos).
