Regina thanks for the travel tips. Regarding passover, I have been told

there are lots of good GFCF foods available around this holiday. Any

suggestions?

Hi ,

There are some food and not only around this holiday. You can find some good

things around Rosh-ha-Shana (Jewish New year). There is very big site

www.kosherfood.com <http://www.kosherfood.com> , but they did not specify

the ingredient exactly. The good things in Jewish tradition that you can not

mix milk and meat (I think it does make sense in general as well). Lots of

kosher products are " parve " , so you can use it with dairy and with meat.I do

not know if I made myself understandable. has good explanation in

her book about it. For example, the main problem in chocolate is milk. By

the way, it is almost impossible to find good real dark chocolate in US for

reasonable price. But there is no milk in " parve " chocolate, so you can eat

it as desert after any meal (dairy or meat).

I was very lucky finding chocolate chips in www.kirkmanlabs.com

<http://www.kirkmanlabs.com> . My son can not tolerate soy as well and all

chocolate I saw contain soy even if it does not contain milk. This

particular one does not and it is kosher for Passover, I think it was even

made in Israel (not sure). You can find pretty good chocolate bars in Miss

Roben's (mo milk and soy) and it is kosher for Passover as well. When we

left is Israel I did not pay much attention in all this and we are not

observant people and we did not have any problems with our oldest child.

I am not sure about GF food, but you can try to find something out
