Guest guest
Study reveals true problem of autism in Scotland CAMILLO FRACASSINI AUTISM is more widespread in Scotland than was previously thought with at least 11,000 children suffering from the condition, a study has revealed. Research by the National Autistic Society has found that at least one in 121 ish children suffer from autism or a range of related conditions known as autistic spectrum disorders. The figure is much higher than the most recent official estimate, published just months ago by the Public Health Institute of Scotland, which put the rate at one in 166 Scots children - around 7,700. http://www.news.scotsman.com/health.cfm?id=512982002
