Guest guest
Since a few mentioned this... There are several online/computer courses for parents and others available. i know that some people live in small towns with a limited number of resources available to them..... The " verbal behavior " group (ABA) has one course online: http://www.behavioranalysts.com/BAIlearningcommunity/lc-courses.html It is expensive though. However, as I recall, our first ABA workshop was two days, 16 hours total, and cost us about 1500 dollars so maybe this is a cheaper option. I just hate video taping myself though. Blech! But we had to do it anyway with our " in person " consultants. Different roads to learning also has some videos/CDs that explain DTT (Discrete Trial Teaching) i haven't seen them so I can't speak for whether or not they are useful: http://www.difflearn.com/welcome.asp Couple that with FEAT conferences, ME-list, list, and... You should have plenty of resources to learn- if you just give up sleep.
