Tests for yeast overgrowth?

Are there any accurate/reliable tests to show whether a child

(diagnosed with PDD etc.) actually has excessive amounts of yeast in

his/her system? Or is it just practical and/or customary to put kids

on anti-fungal meds and assume, if changes in behavior and symptoms

improve, that there was?

The test our son took consisted of sending a stool

sample to Great Smokies lab. The test kit can be

given to you by your doctor. It showed yeast and a

couple other things in his system.

Thanks for the reply, Sharnita. Do you know if these stool tests are

thought to be fairly accurate/reliable?
