Guest guest
Hi all. Don't post much but love to read and hear your tips. I went about 3 days without my usual 2000 mg of MSM. This morning my finger joints are hurting, but I am not surprised at that. Also, I have tiny red bumps, about 14 of them, on various parts of my fingers. They are very sore and painful. The best I can't describe them is that they are like when a blister forms over a splinter. Are these related to the RA. I have had a few before, here and there, but never this many. Any relation to my RA? Thanks. Lucy T.

Guest guest
Hi Lucy, I've had the little bumps that you describe since high school -- biopsied as herpes 1 (the kind that leads to cold sores). They crop up every month or so, and last at least a week. I'd hazard a guess that the methotrexate I'm on contributes to them, since the drug is known to increase mouth sores. They aren't very bothersome, but I've probably grown used to them, too. > > & Lucy <tascone@r...> wrote:Hi all. Guest guest
Are your bumps on your hands? Mine form only on my hands and feet. I did do some research on RA and skin bumps. There is a correlation. I just don't know if that is what mine are from. Guest guest
Hi Lucy, Mine only form on my hands, on the fingers. They look like something in between a callous and a blister, and sometimes form around a cuticle or two, too. Please let me know what you find out in your research! J Hi all. Guest guest
Lucy, It is unusual, but possible for adults to also get hand, foot and mouth disease. I had it once in college, and it was tiny painful bumps on my hands and feet. With our lowered immune systems, I wouldn't put it past us to get that! Guest guest
Robin A ha! I thought at first! HF & M disease? But then I researched it. I found an article at the CDC Gov site. My bumps are different. HF & M disease almost always starts with the blisters in the mouth. My mouth is unaffected. HF & M disease is also more of a rash, some with blisters and lasts 7 to 10 days. My bumps are not really a "rash" nor do they have blisters, and they have been on my hands now for about 3 weeks. I guess I have to go to my Family Doctor and show them to him. I hate making doc appointment vistis with young children to consider. Then you just get referred some where else, wait 2 weeks for an appointment and pay a copay just to watch them stand with their hands on their hips and say "hmmmm?"! Guest guest
And then you get to the specialist and the bumps are gone. I think they sound like something I get too. Small rashy bumps and a little painful and almost always just the fingers. They go away but keep recurring. Not serious just irritating Annette > Re: Re: Little bumps and RARobin > > A ha!
