Guest guest
Kim - Sorry it's taken so long to reply to your post. Sometimes life gets crazy! But I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir... Anyway, my family would be a strong argument for the genetic component. My oldest was diagnosed with autism, middle had health issues, and youngest started to slip into the autistic realm. That's just on the surface. After running the blood work for Dr. Goldberg we discovered that they all have shockingly similar problems. They also do well on the same medications - so if one doesn't agree with one child, we avoid it with the others. What they all do have in common as well is that they are all on the higher functioning side. I can't stress to you enough how much of a difference the protocol has made in all our lives. The kids feel better, sleep better and as a result behave better. This, of course, means my husband and I have more peaceful lives Start out trying Dr. Goldberg's diet and get the blood work run. It was more torturous on me than the kids, especially as I sat there thinking that nothing would show up since they were so high functioning. I cried when the results came back and things were so off. I even doubted the sanity of the trip to see Dr. G - dragging my family of 5 half way across the country. That was a year and a half ago. Don't postpone seeing Dr. Goldberg because your kids are higher functioning. Go for normal functioning instead. Best of luck to you - feel free to e-mail me privately if you have any other questions. pappadia@... On Fri, 17 May 2002 01:58:16 -0000 " tazzer3100 " <tazzer3100@...> writes: > Hi, I'm Kim. Guest guest
My daughter didn't appear normal when we looked at her eyes - dull, not shiny or bright - and when we stopped to think how she was complaining of leg pains since she could talk. She also whined nonstop and dragged herself out of bed every morning with no energy. When we first saw Dr. G with our son and he started talking about getting a healthier looking kid, we started to wonder about our daughter. We figured it was worth running the bloodwork on her too and she actually tested much higher for HHV6 than our son diagnosed with autism did. Hope this helps.
