Guest guest
We just received a copy of the Guillian Barre Syndrome Foundation's quarterly newsletter. My husband had GBS in 1996 due to a combination of stress, CMV & EB and vaccines. CMV & EB being the primary villians. First article has my attention. Talks about the origins of GBS and recent research. Seems the Drs have been able to narrow down why some GBS patients recover more quickly than others. Depends on how they got their GBS. GBS caused by camphlbacter jeujuni infection (watch that chicken!!) caused axonal damage and more severe symptoms (like reoccurance of GBS) GBS caused by CMV infection caused primarily sensory issues. How many of your kids have issues with sensory dysfunction ? I " m going to have to turn the Foundation onto ! and talk more with the medical group that did this research! doris land

Guest guest
Very familiar - kids commonly test positive to these - others might include HHV6, and HSV I, II etc. You're not alone! Any search on the web will turn up plenty -there is a lot in the list archives, and I think in Dr G's ASK Dr Goleberg section. Dr G also references them in a number of hisnarticles and papers at www.neuroimmunedr.com Re: GBS, autism, sensory and CMV Doris, Where can I find more info on this?
