Guest guest
Msadvo, We also are a military family and have TriCare. We have had success in getting Tricare to pay for some of the bills, although we do pay " up front " for office visits. We had our children's primary care doc order the blood work and the only test that TriCare did not pay for was the Food Allergy panel from Meridian Labs. That cost us about $95.00 out of pocket. Office visits must be paid up front to the office, but if you submit them to TriCare, they are covered as a " point of service " benefit. This means only 50% is covered and then at a percentage (I think 80%), but every little bit helps. Telephone consults are not covered under Tricare, so we have paid those out of pocket. TriCare can be a challenge at times, but it does not necessarily mean you can not see Dr. G. Also, if you need assistance with airfare, please go to www.unlockingautism.org, then click on " Wings for Little Angels " . You can apply for complimentary airfare for each child and an adult caregiver. I hope this helps! Guest guest
Will the military cover your blood work and meds?, because that is the biggest part of the expense. Champus Insurance also known as Tricare > > I was totally shocked and I am still in shock to know that I have went through the process of filling out all of the paper work in order to get an appointment with Dr. G and then to be told he cannot see me because of my insurance coverage. I am a military spouse and it really is ashame that many of us have to sit my on the sidelines because we do not possess the right insurance needed to see Dr. G. I had no problem purchasing the 3 tickets needed to get there but for 2 kids to be seen would cost me both my arms and legs. When will Dr. G be open to an insurance such as Tricare if ever? > > Thanks > > Msadvo > > > > --------------------------------- >
