Guest guest
Hello, My daughter was diagnosed with infentile autism about 2y ago at age 6. We knew she had a form of autism since she was about 3 1/2. I realy don't believe vacinations had any part in her being autistic. She had problems whith controlling emotions from very early infantcy evan before any vacinations were given. She would cry constantly. Nothing worked. When I asked the docter I was told " Baby's cry you should know that " . None of my concerns were taken seriously. Unlike most parrents of autistic children our oldest daughter was very verbal although no phrases were conected at all. She was very ecolalic. This was discovered at 3 1/2 when our second child was born at her 1 week well baby check up. It took a year to get her into a program through the public school. At first it was fine but as the years progressed there was a dramatic decline in the quality of schooling given. They did not encourage or stimulate her enough. We also started to express concerns of dislexia, which went ignored. Finaly we found an option a Charter School that caters to autistic and autistic spectrum disorders. She has made a compete turn around her behavior is drasticly improved. She is learning to read and the school is focusing on proper conversation paterns. At the last I.E.P. meeting yesterday this school finaly agrees with me about the dislexia and already without any prompting was working on exercises to improve her wrighting ability. We live in Orange County, Florida. We realy don't have any idea what causes these unfortinate disorders in children. We have one autistic and one whith normal development almost gifted (true oposites)but if you would like to contact me about schooling I would be glad to tell what I can about Princeton House Charter School. They have really worked miracles on my daughter. My E-mail is maryf407@....
