Guest guest
I give my son his 1/3 tab wrapped in a wheat free cereal bar or in between a soy ice cream sandwich or in a soft wheat/dairy free cookie. When we crushed it up and put it in, he would take one bite of whatever it was in and then refuse the rest. So, now I just get it all over with in one bite and then he can have more of the cookie or whatever, to get rid of any bitterness left in his mouth. He never gives me any problem doing it this way. He is also 3 yrs. old. KathyP valtrex what is the easiest way to give valtrex to a 3 year old ? thank you Responsibility for the content of this message lies strictly with the original author, and is not necessarily endorsed by or the opinion of the Research Institute. Guest guest
I have just recently joined your group, have a child with autism and have done many lab tests on him. I was wondering what kind of virus's your using Valtrex for?

Guest guest
Hi everyone, Let me share some experience about giving medicine. Valtrex taste very bitter with any " dari " products, soy milk, rice milk, dari free, whatsoever. And there is no taste at all if you add it to diluted apple or pear juice.Pine apple juice is good as well. I just wash off the blue coat, crash it very carefully and add to diluted pear juice. I use spill proof bottle, so it goes great. I was really surprised seeing lots of difficulties you guys have. My son is pretty easy to manage, but he usually can taste something unusual very quickly, but we never has had any problems with Valtrex. It took me for awhile till I found the right liquid to use, but it works very good. Contrary, Nizoral makes very bitter combination with juice, but is is great with Dari Free. I do it the same way, crash and add to liquid. Hope it helps Regina Re: valtrex I give my son his 1/3 tab wrapped in a wheat free cereal bar or in between a soy ice cream sandwich or in a soft wheat/dairy free cookie. Guest guest
Hi, I belive, each child response very different. Mine actually developed fly symptoms even with fever for about two weeks, some kids do not response at all. To my opinion, you have some kind of response and it is good (sounds not that good, I know). I would call the office and ask about it. Good luck Regina sue1jeff2001 <jeffb@...> wrote: our three year old started on valtrex 2 weeks ago. the first few days he was very alert and since is very fogy and tired. does anyone know what this type of reaction means? thanks Responsibility for the content of this message lies strictly with the original author, and is not necessarily endorsed by or the opinion of the Research Institute.
