Guest guest
, Great news. I was just telling some of our chapter advisory board members about Emma. If her Daddy wasn't so big I might seriously considered snatching that child and taking her back to New York with me. She is just so precious. Kathy -NNY PS that smile... Now if we need some kids to advertise us how do you think Emma would do in front of a camera?
Guest guest
, I don't mind hearing that kind of good news anytime. I'm so happy for you and your family. > Hi everyone! > > I usually don't send out huge bulk e-mailings, but in this case I just wanted to shout from the rooftops! > > We had a meeting at Emma's school to discuss her program. The psychologist used to work at UCLA in the Autism clinic. She's worked with 100's of autistic children Emma's age. Before the meeting she pulled me aside and told me that she had NEVER seen one so socially connected at 4. Then during the meeting they all commented that she's not your typical autistic child. (I'm not sure there is such a thing). It's really wonderful to see hope ahead for her. Social connection is the most difficult thing to teach these kids. > > Anyway, just wanted to share our happy news. > > > > > >
Guest guest
, That is great news about Emma. We've been seeing Dr. Goldberg for a year, and we have also been told by people with a lot of experience working with autistic children, that my son, who is 3, is very social, gives great eye contact, and shares joint attention, which isn't the usual. This gives us so much encouragement and hope for the future. Thanks for sharing your joy. KathyP Re: Good news about Emma , I don't mind hearing that kind of good news anytime. Guest guest
You're so sweet, Kathy! We, of course, think she's totally adorable. As far as a camera, well the pictures around our home seem to say she's a natural. Our biggest challenge is keeping those milk products away to stave off those horrible bags under her eyes. lol ----- Original Message ----- From: JOSKAT95@... , Great news.
