Guest guest
, I concur with the Hep B. If your infant does not live in a Hep B endemic country, a home with parents with Hep B, or does not plan on becoming sexually active prior to the age of 8 then the Hep B series does not make a lot of sense. It wanes after the age of 8 so I'm not sure how it is supposed to protect her as a teen. Kathy -NNY
Guest guest
Wow, Doris!! Congrats! The only way I was comfortable vaccinating was to do one at a time with two months in between shots. This was not recommended by Dr. Goldberg (not opposed either), but that's the only way I felt comfortable doing them. We skipped the Hep vaccine altogether for now, as well as the chicken pox. We didn't start any until she was 2 months old and broke up as many of the multiple ones as we could (although I hear that isn't possible for MMR anymore ?). It's a difficult issue - I was terrified to vaccinate, terrified not to. I also made sure she was 100% healthy before any shots - no eczema, runny nose, neither of the other kids sick at home. I'm sure you've heard this before - just do what you are comfortable with (or as comfortable as possible). I hope you're at least past that queasy stage with this horrible heat! ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
